Dear friends and colleagues,
Accept fraternal greetings from Cameroon, the land of promise and legendary hospitality. We are more than grateful for the opportunity given us to host RAME 2018 in Douala from the 3rd to the 5th of may 2018.
Cameroon is hopefully going to be an emerging nation by 2035 according to the political vision and actions of the head of state, his excellency Paul Biya. To this effect, the country is excited and supports the hosting of RAME 2018 in its economic capital, Douala city.
The country is currently working on improving its logistics and freight forwarding capacity by building new seaports, expanding old ones, renovating old airports, roads, railways and other to combat the spirit of logistics and supply chain in multimodal Transport sector. This no doubt generates new opportunities for growth and development for stakeholders and end users.
All these fall in line with the values of our syndicate SYNAUTRATRA, its regional umbrella RAME and mother FIATA.
The country is also improving its business laws to better handle the ever growing business potential of the Central African sub region, given strategic position.
RAME 2018 will enable freight forwarders to embrace these changes, networks with global players in our sector, seal business deals and above all, implant the FIATA philosophy in other francophone Central African countries taking part.
By hosting this RAME meeting for the first time in francophone sub Saharan Africa, Cameroon is priding herself as an international logistics hub in the Gulf of Guinea and the Central African sub Region.
We are expecting more 200 delegates in Douala for RAME 2018 which will be held under the theme:
LOGISTICS, ENGINE FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH.
Once again, we say thank you for the confidence and welcome to Douala.
Richard MFEUNGWANG (CMR), General President of SYNAUTRATRA
